How I Teach
With 17 years of experience teaching all ages, I aim to spark natural creativity and lyricism, giving the student space to be themselves while I guide them down their musical path. Warmth and enthusiasm is the name of my game. I try to bring the natural thrill of musical expression and tailor the lesson to whatever piques the student’s interest: songwriting, pop covers, ragtime, classical pieces and more. In fostering their energy towards music, I learn from them, as they learn from me. As a preschool teacher, I bring a bubbly energy to each lesson, which translates well across all ages through adulthood. I truly believe in the power of one-on-one communication in artistic education— this is how I connect musicality to exploration on a personalized path. Cultivating this kind of dynamic with young students keeps them engaged and motivated. Learning needs to be fun, and I like to tailor my communication style to each individual to allow them to flourish in their own way!
About Me
I started training in classical piano and music theory at age 7. After earning certification to teach by D.C.’s Levine School of Music, I rounded out my musical education with Dalcroze Eurhythmics training at Tribeca’s Church St School for Music & Art. I was a teaching artist at Church St School for three years, and a preschool teacher at Educational Alliance for the past five years. I have been teaching music in groups and private lessons for over a decade, and started my own piano studio when I lived in Maryland. I specialize in teaching piano to young beginners, but can teach any level and any age.

Piano Lessons
- Piano Lessons (for ages 3 and up)
- 30-minute lesson: $50
- 45-minute lesson: $75
- 1-hour lesson: $100
- Virtual: $10 less per lesson
- Initial books & materials included

Dalcroze Eurhythmics
- Dalcroze Eurhythmics (for ages 1-5)
Dalcroze is the act of learning music by experiencing it. It is a whole-body musical education, ideal for teaching rhythm and melody to young children in an infusion. Learn More
